Hi,
I have just bought a samsung 32 inch lcd LE32R88BD tv from currys I am quite disapointed with the picture quality it seems blurry.
I have sky plus but not sky HD i have connected via scart leads is this the best way or is there an alternative? I phoned currys technical support and they said close up the pictures are blurry you have to sit quite a distance away is this true?
The picture close up dosent look as good as my old t.v have others found this with lcd t.vs.
Thanks sally

The closer you are the worse the picture will look.. As for the picture.. Different sky boxes can produce different results... My old box had a terrible fuzzy picture but when I upgraded to SKY+ it improved a lot (old PVR1 PACE).. The installer said it was because some boxes output the signal stronger than others and PACE is usually the best for it.
Have you tried a few DVD's to see how the picture looks with them??0 -
Have a look at https://www.avforums.co.uk. You will probably find something there - there is a section for LCDs.0

Of course it won't. You've got a high definition TV and playing back standard resolution TV on it. It's basically the same as running a TFT PC monitor at a lower resolution than the native resolution. You've got a TV that displays 720 or 1080 horizontal lines and you're watching standard def which is only 480 lines so it's not going to be sharp or look as good.0
