Overdales won’t negotiate

Hi all,
Overdales is my last debt. It’s the most recent debt too and I have been paying them £1 per month for a while as they gave me a CCJ and were sending threatening letters. As I’ve managed to clear all my other debts, I want to clear this one too. I got big discounts on all of the others. Paid about £800 to Lowell to settle a debt that was over £2500, paid £300 to Lantern today to settle a £2200 debt, etc.
Overdales is £750 and it seems like they won’t budge? Can’t understand why they’d prefer £1 per month for 60 years instead of for example £300 to partially satisfy and settle the account today? I’m waiting for a manager to call me back.

Overdales won't own the debt. They act for Lowell.
So you may be best to talk direct to the owner. B they will be reluctant to move on a debt that has a ccj.0 -
Just spoke to Lowell, they can’t do anything as the account is with Overdales.0

They own your debt, Overdales are a part of Lowell, they can do anything they want, they are just yanking your chain.
Just be firm, it may take some time, they will go through their little charade first, so let them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Do not waste your time and money phoning these people, it is a total waste of time,
If you really want to contact them write by snail mail, otherwise just ignore them, pay them nothing and see what happens. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -

You have to be wary of Overdales as they may instigate legal action if ignored for too long, usually long periods of token payments may induce better offers, but Lowell can be random in who it offers settlements too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
