How hard is it to get a mortgage with Virgin Money

Hi everyone, I am just looking for some advice as I have recently submitted a mortgage application to Virgin Money as a first time buyer (with my girlfriend who is also a first time buyer).
Both of our credit scores are excellent along with every other criteria I can see. The only thing that may be an issue is I have recently graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and am in my first job. I am in probation of 6 months but have received my first payslip which Virgin Money say is within their lending criteria.
I suppose my main question is what have other people's experience been like with Virgin Money? Are they quite accepting of applications or are they really hard on them?

VM criteria;-
"If the customer is in probation or has not been in their current job for 6 months, this is acceptable as long as they have a permanent contract (as opposed to short term) and they’ve received their first payslip."I am a mortgage broker. I dont use them massively, but my mortgage is with them.
Their system is a bit rubbish but as a whole they are generally reasonably good to deal with I think.
It helps that you fit criteria as thats a bit of a deal breaker. I am sure you will be fine.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I applied for 6 mortgages this year. I am a relatively high earner (>£100k), okay-ish credit profile - 1x 1-month missed payment over 2 years old, 1x 1-month AR over 7 years old.
Virgin Money do HARD check DIPs and were the only lender of my 3who said they would lend me less than I needed:
Accord Jan 2024 - I pass, lend enough, house pass = offer (pulled out)
Accord Feb 2024 - I pass, lend enough, house fail
Santander Mar 2024 - I pass, lend enough, house pass = offer (expired)
Santander Oct 2024 - I pass, lend enough, house pass = offer (pulled out)
Virgin Money Nov 2024 - I pass, will only lend £27k less, didn't progress to full app for house
Accord Nov 2024 - I pass, lend enough, house pass = offer (exchanging, thank the Lord)
Anecdotally, I found them to be the hardest of my very small sample size in my very specific circumstances!Credit cards: £9,705.31 | Loans: £4,419.39 | Student Loan (Plan 1): £11,301.00 | Total: £25,425.70Debt-free target: 21-Feb-2027

Virgin money were good when i used them. They can be flexible. As far as it is a permanent job or even contract think should be OK.
