The boiler is now 10 years old.
The GE will service it next month and will do the gas safety certificate, but to me it's unclear if the servicing is a warranty to have free replacements if something breaks.

Very unlikely unless it is part of an insurance selling exercise.

A GE will check that the system is safe with no obvious faults. He/she won't guarantee that nothing will break or fail in the future. You need an insurance for that although most on MSE say self insuring is best.

Put money aside each month in case you need to replace a component rather than giving that money to an insurance company.

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

I think there are a couple of parts that are recommended to be replaced every few years, so the GE may suggest that.
