Zopa £5 treat

I received an email from Zopa detailing an offer where if I spent from my new current account using Apple Pay they would pay me £5 as a treat ( their words )
Has anybody had this offer and received the £5  ?
I’ve used Apple Pay but have not received any treat and can’t see anything in the email that gives any time frame.
Before I get around to contacting Zopa does anybody know anything about this offer ?

  • Hi, yes I received the same email on 13th November. I made two small purchases over the weekend using Apple Pay, but I haven’t received the £5 yet.
  • That's a bit Android-ist. Wonder why they think the posh Apple owners need a freebie but not the humble plebeian phone users.

It is supposedly in Beta so perhaps smaller numbers to test the system?

OP: I received the offer as well and have spent £5+ via ApplePay but haven't received any cashback yet. I think cashback is usually paid early in the month so I'm not expecting anything before December.

Yes, they pay cashback and interest on the monthly anniversary of opening the current account.

  • Does anyone know when Zopa are going to actually release the current account?

I’ve received a confirmation e-mail for the £5 reward for Apple Pay usage to be paid between 9-13th December (which is not the anniversary date of the account).

Does the email or any linked T&Cs state a minimum? When I had this offer late last year I spent £6 something and received the £5 cashback exactly a month later.
