Stellantis Finance or Dealership???

 I got a car on finance from a dealership the day I picked it up it broke down they took it back they claim they fixed it broke again 3 weeks later they then told me it needs a whole new engine and I had 3 choices to wait for it to get fixed or wait for them to get another car in that's similar to transfer the finance or go elsewhere after waiting a couple of weeks I said ill look elsewhere anyway found another one took a couple of weeks told them to cancel the finance the other day I've made 2 payments to the finance company.

The dealership are saying I won't get my money back as the lad that works there lent me his car (coz I know him from school) if I didn't know him I wouldn't of had a car at all . They don't have courtesy cars 

Finance company said I would get it back and now the finance company are saying I won't get nothing dealership are refusing to give me a refund 
The reason the finance company won't give me a refund is because the dealership only paid the settlement figure not the full amount. 

Has this happened to anyone else ?
I'm at a loss at what to do and over £500 out of pocket!
