Samsung S22 - Potentially faulty hardware out of warranty

Afternoon all
I'm looking for some advice.
I have a Samsung S22 which appears to have developed a hardware fault 2 months out of warranty. (Purchased directly from Samsung at start of Sept 22). It is restarting at random times, even when not being used. This seems to coincide with an update to the phone, and also appears to be an issue for a fair few people - googling 'S22 Reboot Loop after update' returns a lot of samsung/reddit/etc threads with people facing the same problem. Samsung have not officially admitted there is an issue though, as I'd expect.
I have it booked in for an assessment, but I am 99% sure they will tell me it needs a replacement motherboard.
If this does happen, what would be the best course of action? Do I have a case for asking Samsung to cover the cost of any repair?
I don't feel that this fits in with the "last a reasonable amount of time" criteria - 26 months for a flagship phone (at the time of purchase) seems unreasonable. However - aware that there are no legal definitions here, so am I just being emotional about it because it's really irritated me
Thanks for reading!
