Next stores open on New Years Day

The only non shopping days in England (as far as i am aware) are Christmas Day & Easter Sunday. Hours are dependant on shop size, as said previously.

So how come most large stores don't seem to open open on News Years day. I always thought it was because they can't. (Not that I want to shop on that day).0 -
