Hi all, i arrived home to a parking fine for overstaying at tesco, i have been looking around the forum etc, my wording does state 28 days on the important info, but i am finding it hard to get it all to sink in, if honest i am going to go in and see the store tomorrow, ticket issued 12th november, breach date 6th of november, the vehicle arrived at 16:21pm,then left at 19:59.but i did go in to shop and then to get petrol and return as i had to go back in for a prescription, i am just checking that i use the below to appeal online if the store do not do anything, thanks for your help in advance
Re PCN number:
I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date as well as your images of the vehicle.
If the allegation concerns a PDT machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made - showing partial VRNs - and an explanation of the reason for the PCN, because your Notice does not explain it.
If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner.
THE NAME AND POSTAL ADDRESS OF THE KEEPER (OR THE HIRER/LESSEE) GOES HERE, OR IN THE RELEVANT BOX ON THEIR APPEALS PAGE.
THE DRIVER IS NOT IDENTIFIED.

Plan A first, complain to Tesco
Plan B - appeal using the blue text in the NEWBIE sticky but with the bold sentences you have copied.1 -
Did you drive out of the car park to reach the filling station? If so. it's a double dip situation and not one continuous stay.
Was the chemist within the Tesco store1 -
Hi guys, thanks for the replies, so i mithered tesco via social media and they come back to me very quick, they basically said as horizon manage the car parks i need to appeal, tell them exactly what happened, but if it get rejected then i need to get back in contact with them and they follow a further appeal process. Re driving out - NO, the petrol station is part of horwich tesco complex if you know what i mean and yeah i returned back in tesco store1

Thanks for the warning as that is something I'm likely to do and not see it as overstaying - especially with the queues we get in store/pharmacy/petrol station.Tesco Horizon, Morrisons Europarks. I'm guessing the same would apply.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on

Try a complaint to the Tesco manager in person and tell him/her what happened.
Try that first.
If you have to appeal, DON'T use a template but DON'T say or imply who was driving. State that it was two visits - went out to get petrol then returned to the car park to use the in-store chemist...but don't say "I" or "me". Refer to the driver in the third person. Attach receipts or bank statement proofs of purchases.
But FIRST go in an complain in person which is a hundred times more likely to work and see the PCN cancelled.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
