Monese Inactive account fee: £1 per month after 12 months of not using your account. What to do?

I unfortunately didn't realise about the changes. I haven't used it in a long time and found I've been charged "£1 eleven times, and I can't transfer my £29 I have in there without another £1 charge.
There's no way I'll get that £11 back right? Should I just take the extra £1 hit or try to purchase something with their card?
And finally, they completely scrapped their referral payment scheme, so I can't receive anything else from it right?

Unless you have a use for the account, I suggest closing it to avoid further charges5 -
Highly unlikely you'll get the fees refunded, although it never hurts to ask. I'd also recommend withdrawing the remaining money (or spending it) and then closing the account
