It is treated as earnings for the purposes of calculating income tax and there is absolutely no requirement for the car to ever be used as part of their work. Just taken delivery of our new company car and can tell you now it will not be used once in the 3 years lease for anything to do with work, its a straight, tax efficient, employee benefit.huckster said:The point is the lease car is not earnings. Not saying it should be considered for UC claims as have no idea about benefits but the statements are not universally correct.0
