NCP online booking surcharge

I booked on the NCP website a few days ago for an arrival of 06.45 and departure of 15.00.
I was charged £24.95.
On arrival at the car park I saw that the rate for paying on the day was £9.95.
So an extra £15 to book online.
I complained to NCP who told me the extra cost was correct.
Has anyone else been stung like this?

It's "dynamic pricing", NCP have always been a nasty greedy company in my view:
Is it cheaper to pre-book NCP parking?
In most cases it is. However sometimes, the Pre-book price may be the same as or more expensive than the price on the tariff board. E.g. at airports, the Pre-book price is dynamic, as it’s affected by market conditions. You can check our website for the tariff prices for all NCP operated car parks.
