OH has officially sold his car, so that’s all 3 vehicles gone now. Just his new car on his driveway which cost just slightly more than what he sold the old vehicles for. It’s a lot more reliable and spacious though. I’m yet to go in it but we have a day out planned on Sunday so I’ll go in it then 😊 I can’t wait for our day out, as it’s been ages since we spent any quality time together just us 2 due to work and kids 🤣 I’m not complaining at all, I love it, but it will be nice to spend the day with him. He works a lot of weekends but thankfully he’s off after tomorrow night 😊

Something happened at work today which I can’t get into on here but it resulted in the big boss calling me & giving me a lot of praise on how I handled the situation which was very nice to hear. It wasn’t a terrible incident or anything but it was a bit of a challenge! And the end result was good. So it was a good day. Oh, apart from when my postman (he’s new to this area) tried to let himself into my flat! He didn’t even knock on the door, he just tried to open it but it was locked! I wasn’t impressed with him. He didn’t have much of an explanation when I confronted him about it either.

Spends today were £3.85 on postage, as I posted my friend’s card & present. That was it 🙂 DD2 took £4 to her school disco but that was from her pocket money. She didn’t think it would be enough but she only spent £1 🤣 DD1 and I went to my mum’s house while the school disco was on as she lives close to the school. It was nice catching up with her and one of my brother’s as he was there too. DD1 told us that she got told today that she’s in the top 10 students for maths in the whole of year 8 at her school. She’s such a little brainiac lol. She’s just joined the Thursday lunchtime art club too which is good as I’ve been trying to get her to join a club for a while.

DD2’s Christmas jumper from Vinted arrived today so she’s happy with that. I’ve put some of our coats on there as we never wear them any more so hopefully they’ll sell soon! I did a huge clear out a few months ago and I’m very slowly adding them all to Vinted 😁

I’m going to put the girls in bed now. DD1 is requesting a later bedtime though as her school is closed tomorrow for a teacher training day. What a weird day to have it! I reckon the teachers just wanted a Black Friday shopping day 🤣

It’s Friday, payday, Black Friday, and work is over for the week 😊 My mum, brother & his wife went shopping in a different city today. I’m glad I didn’t join them as it sounded like hell 🤣 Shopping on Black Friday doesn’t seem like much fun to me. I was happy to stay at home, even if it meant working 😉

DD1 met her friend at lunchtime and stayed with her until I came to pick up DD2, so at least she wasn’t too bored while I was working 🙂

I've been getting cheeky offers on Vinted for the coats and jackets I uploaded yesterday. If they’d been on for a while I would’ve accepted them, but as they’ve only just gone one I declined the offers, in hope of receiving more. I’m not a greedy person but they’re already on for very low amounts!

I’m going to cook some spaghetti bolognese & garlic bread for me & the girls now. I’ll cook a bit extra in case OH pops over later. He’s currently sleeping, as he works nights, but he didn’t get home until about 2pm so there’s a chance he’ll sleep until 9pm ish and then it’ll be too late to come over as he’ll need to get ready for work. Luckily tonight is his last shift for a couple of days 😊

I’ve been super busy this morning so I’m now having a rest until I need to pick DD2 up from her performing arts class. DD1 wants Spanish Chicken for dinner tonight so I’ve been out to get the ingredients for that, and I also dropped off some toys at the Estate Agent’s office as they’re supporting the local telegraph with their Christmas Toy Appeal 😊 I got soaked on the way there! I also have a couple of toys to give to work as they’re supporting another charity. I decided to buy things for teenage boys as I feel they don’t get as much as everyone else.

I’ve ordered a Christmas gift for OH from Next, as well as some gift bags, which I’ll use the remainder of my gift card for. I’ve also bought his birthday card. He ended up coming over last night and he’s coming over again later 😊 He had someone over earlier to quote for the new garage door - £1,650.00. Another thing to add to the list of costs! Still cheaper than buying a 4 bed house though 👌🏼

Oh my goodness. I’m in shock. I’ve just been round my parents’ house with OH and the kids, and my mum told me that she and my dad are gifting me £3,000 for Christmas 😭😭😭 I can’t believe it. I cried when she told me. That’s so much money 🥹 I’m going to wipe the NatWest CC with it, and the Barclaycard portion that isn’t on 0% interest. My debt will come back down to £6,391.13 once it’s all gone through. She said she will transfer it next week. I’m so so grateful ❤️

One of my brothers was also there, with his wife. His wife is having surgery on Tuesday and we’re all meant to be going to the annual Christmas panto 4 days later. They’re both adamant they’re going but I just don’t think she’ll be well enough. I’ve told OH to be on standby, as if they don’t go then he and DSD can have the 2 tickets instead lol.

I have sold one of DD2’s coats on Vinted at the price I wanted so will post it tomorrow or Monday 👌🏼 I have also spent many hours this afternoon wrapping Christmas presents, so I feel a bit more organised. Will hopefully finish my Christmas shopping tomorrow when I go out with OH for the day 😊❤️

I know! I’m so lucky 😊

I had a lovely day with OH today. We went to Oxford and I bought my brother his presents but that’s it. We also had a mooch around the Christmas market where there was live music and it was a lot of fun. OH was at the cheese stall for ages sampling a few of the cheeses 🤣 He ended up buying 4 of them. One of them was charcoal 😬 I won’t be trying that one lol. After that we drove to Bicester shopping village but I was very underwhelmed and didn’t fancy anything really! It was full of arrogant people unfortunately, who blatantly thought they were super important just because they were buying designer 🙄  I wasn’t a fan. But the day was still lovely 🥰

I still need to get my dad a present but after that I’ll be done 😊 

OH has ordered something which will mean we can put the central heating on from our phones before we get home 😍 I’m very excited about this as I feel the cold way too easily! 😁

I’m going to bed now as I’m very tired and I’ve got an early start tomorrow 😭 Good night!

Last week I booked a Click & Collect for 7am today… which I regretted so much when I woke up & heard the wind & rain outside 😬☔️ By 6:45am I was putting petrol into my car, and then I drove to collect my food shopping. It wasn’t fun, but it’s nice to have a full fridge again 😍

Work was pretty uneventful today. I did remember to take in the donated toys though! When I got home I batch cooked some teriyaki chicken & rice, as I’m busy over the next couple of days and it will help me out. OH is currently sleeping but he’ll wake up soon and come over, so then I’ll cook us a creamy salmon pasta dish 🥰

Hello! I’ll start with the big news… my mum transferred the £3K to me today, so my NatWest CC is officially at zero 🥹 Yay! Also transferred some money towards the Barclaycard, leaving just the 0% balance remaining. I’ll clear it when the flat sale goes through, as well as the M&S card.

Speaking of the flat sale, my solicitor e-mailed me today with a load of documents that I need to check. Ughhhhh. I’ll try & do it tomorrow.

I got my hair done yesterday. It was a big job as my extensions needed replacing but it’s all done now and looking fresh 😊

DD2 had her final Christmas carol performance tonight as part of the school choir which was lovely 😍 I do enjoy them.

Right, need to go as OH is on his way x

Thank you. I’m still in shock a bit I think!

It’s been a fairly stressful end of the working week here as my broadband router decided to die on me yesterday, and I can’t get an engineer out until Monday, so no wifi for us for a few days 😬 DD2 feels lost without her iPad lol. We’ve been watching YouTube videos on my phone tonight.

I checked all the documents from the solicitors today so that’s one thing ticked off the huge to do list!

I realised yesterday that one suitcase wasn’t going to be enough for me & OH considering we’ve got to take bulky winter wear, so I paid £80 for an extra case when I was checking in 🤢 Very spenny! It means we can bring stuff back now though if we do any Christmas shopping there.

My friend came over last night to do my pedicure and eyebrows so Christmas party season prep is almost done! She coincidentally lives next door to OH so she’ll be my neighbour soon 😃

Me & DD2 are feeling a bit run down today but no time to be poorly as tomorrow is Christmas panto day 😊 My favourite day of the year! This time there are 6 of us going so it’s going to be a fun day. I can’t wait 😍

OH has just text saying he’s now awake from his sleep so I’m going to ask him how DSD got on today as she was going for her red belt in karate bless her x
