Morning all. Weather today is looking bright with blue skies and fluffy clouds but very chilly. I enjoyed my walk out to nowhere yesterday and was out for about an hour. I could have done it in far less time years ago but I'm no spring chicken now, although my head doesn't always think that way!
The Ladies on The Green have planted mini Xmas trees in their community planters and have decorated them with small baubles - very festive and cheerful.
@AlwaysAllie - I love the snowmen, they're really cute.
@Gers - I watched Moonflower Murders too, very different to what I usually go for but I enjoyed it.
@mehefin - I know what you mean about sometimes wanting to be on your own. DS and his partner have invited me to theirs for Xmas Day and I'm in a bit of a quandary as to whether to accept or not. I'll think on it before deciding.
@TravellingAbuela - Gosh, is it really so long ago?
@-taff - I'm a bit like you, can't sit still for too long and need to be "doing".
Nothing special planned for today other than giving the MW a good clean. I did give it a wipe out after the apple pie/smoke alarm debacle but I can still detect a faint smell of burnt sugar. After that I might do another walk in the opposite direction that will take me past the church where I could spot a robin or two. I think the fresh air and exercise yesterday did me good as I slept a lot better. That, plus new PJs!
Dinner today will be a couple of slices of roast beef, mash, carrots and peas. Chocolate mousse for afters.
Hugs where needed or wanted and remember to wrap up warm. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning all, my sun is back ! Many thanks to the person who sent it here.
I changed the bed yesterday and put on the winter quilt, consequently it was a bit too warm last night, I can't win but I'm not changing it back. Some hoovering was done too until the battery on the hoover ran out so I'll recommence and do the hall, stairs and landing today. The DW is already on and I'm waiting for a delivery today, a bulk buy of coffee which is a bit expensive but our only vice now as we've given up on "s*x, drugs and rock and roll", unless you count our prescribed meds 🤣 Today we'll have the rest of the lamb hot pot for tea, yum, yum.
Remmie I hope things get resolved and better for your DGD.
TA many hugs.
taff good luck that you can get sorted very soon.
AA love the smiley snowmen too. Mr Fix It is 3D printing snowmen bookmarks for DD's crafts.
Take care all

Morning all
Cold here but not raining OH has his work clothes in the wm so they can be hung out for a while, I need to hoover through and mop the floors.
No roast today so OH will make a chilly and rice for dinner, dd is working a late shift so only the two of us for dinner.
I started the dreaded present wrapping yesterday I did my DD’s Birthday gifts and a couple of Christmas ones today I will do her Xmas ones then that’s the worst of it out the way, just OH Birthday and Christmas ones to do and then the other family ones, I loathe wrapping and would honestly pay someone to do it for me if I knew anyone.
Coxy are you giving up work once you move ? How lovely if you are xx
Remmie I hope your dgd is ok xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Good afternoon (makes a change to say that).
After a lovely bright start it's now clouding over, rain due later, so fun and games with big dog trying to dodge the spots of rain.
I also enjoyed Strictly last night, they always put a good show on at Blackpool.
Dinner today will be braising steak and onions in gravy, with yorkshires and roasties, just what I fancy.
Thanks for all the good wishes for dgd. I will tell you that she is a SENDs child, which is why she is getting so much teasing and bullying, although she goes to a school for her disabilities. DD has a meeting with the school tomorrow so maybe there will be some resolution to the problem.
Have a good afternoon everyone and hoping the poorlies get better x10 -
Afternoon everyone
The sun was shining when I walked back up from mam and dads but it's grey now - I don't have to go out again other than to the shed to get some more cat food in. Mam went to church - I had a lovely couple of hours with dad who was very chatty today and had a list of jobs for me to do.
Little one came home with me on Friday after school/work and stayed till about 4 yesterday afternoon - we went into town to a Christmas Fayre - where my money disappeared rather quickly, though I did get a couple of Christmas presents. Then we went to the library which she always enjoys especially as her favourite librarian was working. After lunch she finished decorating a wooden heart I'd bought in The Works as part of her mummy's Christmas present, she made a really good job of it. Then we played hospitals, one of her favourites! - I tend to just have to lie on the sofa as she likes to be the doctor - you'd all laugh to hear her, it's all cannulas and get ting taken to theatre!
Allie - I love your snowmen!
Remmie - that's so sad that a disabled child gets bullied by other children at a school for disabled children....I hope your daughter gets it sorted.
I worry so much about little one getting teased especially as she gets older. She knows now that she's different and we can't argue that she isn't, we just tell her everyone is different in some way.
Right, I'm waffling and I'd best get on then I can sit and read my Sunday Times.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Dp1, dgd is registered blind, which is why she is such a target. They think it's fun to do things to her or around her because she can't see them.

@remmie - The other children obviously don't realise your DGD still knows they're up to something even if she can't see them. And there's a fine line between teasing and bullying too. I do hope your DD's meeting with the school goes well and things improve.Be kind to others and to yourself too.7

Remmie that is so sad. No wonder your DGD has been so distressed. I hope your DDs meeting goes well and the school can sort the problem. Children can be so cruel to each other whilst thinking it's just a bit of fun. Xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"6

Remmie how heartbreaking that your dgd is being picked on bless her heart I hope your dd can get something sorted at the school tomorrow xx6
