No, your information cannot be changed by anyone. However if that temp employer incorrectly put your address as theirs when notifying HMRC then that would update your records.

The first step must be to contact them and find out just why it was stopped.

Until you know that then anything else is speculation.

Once you do know why it was stopped then you can get advice and help on what you may be able to do about that.
