Morning Scarlet, morning allUp early as the garden that backs onto ours had a tree fall into ours a couple of weeks ago and the owner had arranged for someone to come and cut it up and dispose of it back into his own garden but just had a message to say he's had to cancel so another hour or so with breakfast in bed instead.Bed changing and a lemon sponge to make today but apart from that a quiet day todayHope everyone has a good day and {{hugs}} for the poorly or sad xx10

Morning everyone and 'thank you' for starting us off Scarlet.
Not sure about today's weather as it is not properly light yet, fingers crossed it will be ok as I have some washing on.
Hope you all have a good weekend. xx10 -
Hi everyone
Nice to see the sunshine briefly as yesterday morning was very foggy.Did my good deed blood donation - @Coxy11, yes plenty snacks afterwards though only seems to be cold drinks now - my friend who donates in Scotland gets Tunnocks tea cakes……!
Today will be craftwork interspersed with some house jobs - nothing at all exciting!
enjoy your weekends all

Morning again, it seems to be fine here. The forecast for next week looks pretty chilly though.
I went to the Metro Centre after meeting a friend at Do*bies yesterday, I was very good, didn't spend ages in T* Maxx, just followed my list. I got most of the stuff I'd gone for, then headed home.
Hi Nanny good to see you back, you're busy as usual.
Welcome back YorksLass, I follow you on MMM, so knew you'd been bereaved.
Thinking of you.
Hope your move goes well Coxy.
Glad you fixed your Rayburn Mehefin, we used to have one in the first house we bought.
I know I've missed people, sorry folks, I really should take notes when I'm reading.
Nothing much happening here today, just what my Dd calls "stuff" which means general household chores.
Thinking of the sad and poorly people, take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Looks fairly bright this morning, may get some washing on the line before the afternoon showers.
I feel very jaded this morning, a run of bad nights so may have to have a nanna nap later. I bought a new TV yesterday so need to set that up and see if I can sell the old one, that'll keep me busy for a while and may have to call for help!
The little one was delighted with her Pudsey biscuits and shared them with the class although she wasn't keen on not wearing her school uniform for the day!
Hope everyone is well and you have a good weekend. Take care. XX9 -
Morning from a grey Glasgow. I've been down for breakfast so am now digesting it. I don't normally eat breakfast but it'd be rude not to in an hotel. 😀 The place is very busy, mostly with big Croatian men who have come over for the football match against Scotland last night. Despite it not going well for them they are all very polite and rather subdued, perhaps after a heavy night of drinking. 😂
Before I got on my bus yesterday I dropped off a pile of unwanted bags, soup bowls and tops to the CS which had been loitering in my car for ages. There's still a couple of jackets to go so I'll deal with them when I get home. Frank Skinner was very funny last night, he seems to wander around the stage and his material and then it all comes together beautifully. Again, the theatre was packed so it made for a good night. My day will be quiet and mostly restful. I'm so glad I decided to start travelling on the bus, it's very MSE as I travel for free. It won't save the planet but saves my pennies.I wish everyone has a good Saturday.9 -
Good morning all, a dry start here.
I didn't get on here yesterday. OH decided early on he was going to a diy warehouse out of town, and did I want to go with him. Yes, I did. Not for the diy store, but for the giant Sainsbobs next to it. We haven't got a Sainsbobs closer so I had a good mooch around in there. So much so I forgot the 2 items I needed, bread and butter, so a trip out to get them, although I think we'll last until Monday as I hate supermarkets at the weekend.
When we got back DD rang for a long chat. It seems dgd has problems at school again, and is off with stress and anxiety. A very long story that I may get off my chest to you dear friends sometime if I may.
Nothing planned for today, I may make some mince pies if I get myself into gear.
Have a good day all, take care x11 -

Morning all. Dull and gloomy here.
Yesterday was a brighter day so we recce'd a walk for New Year's Day; much better than the previous one but a bit longer at 4.5 miles. Even so, I'll go with this one on the day as the 6 others planning to walk are all good walkers and then we can enjoy a pub lunch afterwards. We found yet another cafe open in the village, this one being a voluntary set up and only open Friday - Monday. For a small place it has several eating options!
Today we need to get a newspaper, as DH likes to have the TV guide for the week. I have some ironing to do and some music practice as well. Tonight we are out at another Morris Ale; one of my favourite things! This one has moved to a larger hall so more room to dance
Hope everyone's weekend goes well.11 -
Morning all. Weather here today is chilly with blue sky and a few high wispy clouds. I had a fairly decent night's sleep, no problem getting off, but I would like a bit more than I'm getting - the old bladder is the culprit!
What's on the cards for today? I think probably catching up with some housework as it's been understandably neglected of late. The laundry is up to date (bonus) and I've cockled together a meal plan for the coming week although it's fluid, depending on how I feel and what the weather throws at us. Tonight I'm having chicken curry and jacket potato. Last night's apple pie didn't happen, in fact it was ruined and practically welded to the plate - my cotton wool brain forgot it was in the microwave to warm up and it set off the smoke alarm.Cue windows and doors open and me flapping with a tea towel to get rid of the smoke but at least I know that works. Luckily, I had a back-up of a slice of chocolate fudge cake with ice cream.
I've just read through the new TV guide and see I'm A Celebrity is back. I know many people look forward to it but reality shows aren't my cup of tea so I shall be seeking alternatives for the duration. I've just ordered two pairs of trousers for myself and hopefully they will fit. If not, they'll have to go back.
DH had two rings, a half sovereign that I bought him (must be 50 years ago) and a signet ring that was his 21st from his parents so that one is 62 years old. He always said they were to go to DS and they have. DS's fingers are a bit fatter than his DF's so he's taken them to a jewellers to have them re-sized, cleaned and re-shaped.
That's enough waffle, time for brekkie, I'm thinking scrambled egg and toast - and another cuppa of course!
Hugs for those who need or want them, have a good weekend.Be kind to others and to yourself too.10
