    UPDATE:

So I had my mediation hearing, I just said the claim had no basis and that I would refuse to pay. They first said they would reduce claim to £230, then £60, I rejected both.

I have now received this in the post. Am I right in thinking there is nothing else I need to do at this stage?
Have I read this correctly in that the court has given DCBL/CCPC until the date to pay the court fee or it will be dropped? I’m presuming if this is the case that they won’t pay it if they know they have no chance of winning?!

You've blanked out the hearing date. Your witness statement needs to be sent to the court and DCB 14 days before.

Apologies , it’s 5th August . So need to send everything by 22 July.

How will I know if DCBL have/haven’t paid the court fee?

You're lucky. Quite often they make the deadline for the fee after the exchange of witness statements (which is daft).

You can ring the court the day after and ask, or wait for the letter.

There won't be another letter from the court, just to be clear. That is the hearing order.

Assume it might go ahead and prepare your WS - see NEWBIES THREAD - unless of course you get a NoD from DCB Legal (see the thread by @Umkomaas).

Correct but also check page two of that Notice as sometimes they give a date rather than the 14 days.

Thank you @sandybeach24 for the copy of your NoD. I can now get this counted in the DCBL Legal thread of shame. 👍
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
