Hi, my assessment was missed because they rang the my old appointee I don’t think they updated their system. And I contacted the assessor provider through email to find out what’s happened and they said this “ I can see that today we have received a new case for you from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). It is currently going through our initial review process and is waiting to be allocated to a HP to determine what type of assessment you will be given. Unfortunately, I can’t give you a time frame for this, if we need any information, we will get in touch with you. If you want any more information on the appointee process, please contact Department for Work and Pensions ”
what does this mean?

It means that the Assessment provider can only tell you about the bit of the process that they deal with. If you want any information about the appointment process, you need to contact the DWP.
You may need to ask the DWP whether they accept that they (or the assessment provider) called and informed the wrong appointee, and check that they are happy just to setup a new assessment, but it sounds like they have already done this if the assemment provider has a new case for you. The assessment provider will decide what sort of assessement you need (which is likely to be same as the previous decision they made and will call you forward for that same sort of assessment - you could always check with them what appointee name they have just to prevent the same problem reocurring.)
What did the wrong appointee do when they were told about your appointment? Did they not inform the assessment provider that they were no longer your appointee? This would be the action of a reasonable person. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0
