URL to MP3 ?

Hi all,

I want to convert a URL into an MP3 file to use as a ringtone...
Some of the links that have come up via Google search look a bit dodgy.

Appreciate if anyone could recommend a safe, free site or app to fo the above ?

I have the URL written down, but that's as far as I have got !

If you had a link to it like http://www.somerandomsite.com/crazymusic.mp3 then you could right click and there will be an option to save the file to your computer. 

How you make a MP3 into a ringtone on your phone will depend on which phone you have.

Thank you !  Probably be easier if I was on laptop,  but waiting on a broadband install so using my data on phone for a few days...

Hi.   If you are using your data on your phone, did you realise that you could create a hotspot that you can then connect your laptop to?      Like you say, this sort of stuff is a lot easier on a laptop than a phone.
