  • Any chance you could write without using CAPITALS? It's hard to read shouty capitals.
  • Can you post a photo of your meter and cable connections please? It’s also helpful to tell us Which region are you in?

To allow us to offer advice we need more information about the set up you have currently, how many ports on the meter, how many lights the communications hub has, what sequence the lights are flashing all allows forum members to understand and offer advice on what the problems may be

But they haven’t got a smart meter that connects to the WAN, that is the problem.
Edit I concede that EDF may be able to rectify that but we can’t.

And we don’t have enough information from the OP in order to offer advice.

Eon has tried at least 3 times to get my smart meters working without success as my property has no WAN. Before when i was with BG then EDF they had the same result. Yet i am being pestered with emails and texts asking me to book an appointment for meters to be fitted despite speaking to their reps who advised me to ignore them, they have now become a nuisance.

Has any one else got the same problem?

    Fixed for the OP.

Hi, I think there's an ambiguity in your post which has caused some confusion. Are you asking if anyone has had issues with their smart meters network connection or are you asking if anyone has been pestered to have a smart meter fitted even though they already have one?

Not all smart meters or there comms hub are created equal  - they share a common set - two regional - standards - cellular and RF - but that doesn't mean they all exactly match technically / performance wise.

So a supplier might want to try a particular brand.

They also - if in South of UK - hence regional / location / comms hub picture request - to see if cellular or not - supplier maybe able to give you a comms hub with an external (still internal to home) antenna - to boost the signal strength to get the WAN working.
