Extended Warranty on Bosch Heat Pump Condenser Dryer

Hi,
I bought a Bosch Heat Pump Condenser dryer, it has a 2 year warranty but also an option to extend this to 5 years for £99.
I am not sure if it is worth to do.
Aware that ultimately it's my decision; but heat pump dryers, are they likely to break down? Less likely after two years?
I bought the dryer for £490.
Cheers

Could you afford to buy a new one if it broke down? Or would you rather pay £99, just in case?
What are you like with appliances? When I worked on them (many years ago) I found that some people manage to keep their appliances for years, others keep breaking them, no matter what they buy!Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
Thanks, I look after my appliances, they tend to last especially by bosch washer, but I had a zanussi fridge and freezer, the freezer broke but the fridge is still going.Just wondered......if a hear pump dryer is going the break down if it's likely to do so early on.Maybe as I bought ilthe warranty and the wife said she will pay for the warranty I may as well get it for peace of mind
