County Claim Form Received

My wife had a minor bump in a car park in June, we notified insurers etc. Today I received a county claim against me (as the insurance policy is in my name). asking for around 2.5K with interest accruing at a daily rate of around £65 a day!
Any idea why this has come to me and not my insurance company?

It's just my opinion and not advice.

Just forward it onto your insurers and let them deal with it. It's what you pay them for.0

Which your insurer will - the policy says it will cover your liabilities to other people. That includes liability for accrued interest and the like - so the accrual rate is your insurer's problem, not yours. Ultimately it will be them putting their hand in their pocket at the end of the day, not you.
