Land registy expedite, does it work?

Afternoon everyone, wondering if someone can please help. We brought our house in September 2024, sold it in October 2024 to first time buyers and we've found a house with no onward chain.
So we're all going through solicitors to find our land registry hasn't updated.
I have requested the applicants to be expedited which has been accepted. I'm just wondering how long I'm looking at for this as it's us holding up the whole process at the moment. Any advice would be grand?

Expedition only means LR will look at it within 2 weeks. If everything is there and correct then they will do it in that timeframe, if not, then it's however long it takes for the required info to be provided to them.
Do the sellers know you have not owned it 6 months? Normally lenders are very funny about lending on a property that's been registered less than 6 months by the previous owners, so if they don't know now is the time to tell them.0 -
Thank you for your reply. No I wasn't aware of that. Our solicitors are aware of this though. We have been living in the property for 5 years it was a kind of rent to buy scheme. It was officially ours in September but desperately needed a bigger house hense the move.1

It can be super quick. Fastest I've seen was literally a couple of hours from me making the request to expedite - that was a straightforward application with nothing to delay it though, Any requisitions being raised will obviously slow things down.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
