Da Red Gobbo graces us with his presence, teaching us all about the virtues of revolushun, snowballs with bombs in them, and the teknikaliteez of Orkish spelling… and we get to show off all sorts of cool Christmas swag to stuff in your stockings, gear up for an incredible Grotmas Calendar,* and run a competition to win a big bag of awesome prizes. 

Da Red Gobbo is going to be using his sneaky know-wotz to infiltrate articles on Warhammer Community. Newsletter subscribers will be sent an email containing an entry form – you’ll need to find the correct image hidden on the site and tell us what’s on the sign he’s holding up. Not subscribed? Get signed up now, or you can’t enter! And if for any reason you don’t get the entry form, you can sign up at any time to receive a new copy.

Each week the image will change, and the previous week’s will disappear. The competition is running for five weeks, starting today. He will disappear on the 16th of December, but we’ll give you until the 19th to make your final guess.  You will only have to enter one question correctly to be in with a chance of winning. All winners will be drawn on the 23rd of December.

Eligibility

2.1 You must be 18 years of age or older to enter the competition.

2.2 The competition is open to residents worldwide, excluding Ireland, Italy, Japan, Russia, Belarus and China and the US states of Rhode Island, New York and Florida. This competition is void where prohibited by law. 

2.3 Entries from trade accounts or employees of any of the Games Workshop group of companies, their families, agents or any other person connected with the administration of the competition will not be considered.

The Competition

3.1 NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS PRIZE DRAW.

3.2 Entry is free and open to all those who meet GW’s eligibility requirements and who satisfy the requirements detailed below. This promotion starts on 11th November 2024 and closes on 19th December 2024.

3.3 There will be 51 winners in total. The winners will be drawn on 23rd December 2024.

How to Enter

4.1 Entrants must be subscribed to one of GW’s newsletters and meet the requirements of clause 4.2 in order to be eligible for this prize draw. 

4.2 Competition Question: We'll send to all customers who are subscribed to a GW newsletter (“Eligible Customers”) an email where they have to answer a question relating to the current Christmas campaign. Clues will be contained in the relevant Warhammer Community articles released during the duration of the competition. Using the clues in the articles, the customer must submit the correct answer from the landing page accessed via the email that was sent to them (“Correct Answer”). There will be five (5) different questions sent out that can be used to enter on different dates (“Windows of entry”). These must be answered within the dates and times stipulated below:

4.2.1 10:30 am (UK time) 11th November which must be filled out by 10:29 am (UK time) on 18th November;

4.2.2 10:30 am (UK time) 18th November which must be filled out by 10:29 am (UK time) on 25th November;

4.2.3 10:30 am (UK time) 25th November which must be filled out by 10:29 am (UK time) on 2nd December;

4.2.4 10:30 am (UK time) 2nd December which must be filled out by 10:29 am (UK time) on 9th December; and

4.2.5 10:30 am (UK time) on 9th December which must be filled out by 10:29 am (UK time) on 16th December.

4.3 Entrants may only enter into each Window of entry once, for a total of five (5) entries into the competition maximum. Reminders of the Windows of entry will be sent out sporadically to entrants throughout the competition.

4.4 The newsletters are free to subscribe to. Account holders will be entered into the prize draw if they submit the Correct Answer. Please note it may take up to 48 hours between sign up and being added to the mailing list.

4.5 Cancelling a subscription to the newsletter before the close of the prize draw will result in being removed from the draw.

4.7 One entry only per person per Window of entry. This means each entrant will have a maximum of 5 (five) entries into the prize draw. Entrants identified as having submitted multiple entries in contravention of these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified.

4.8 GW is not responsible for any technical difficulties rendering a person unable to enter the competition.

The Prize Draw

5.1 There will be 1 prize draw.

5.2 The prize draw will take place at Games Workshop, Willow Road, Nottingham NG7 2WS at 10 a.m. (UK time) on 23rd December 2024. The draw will be made by computerised random selection. The chance of winning depends upon the number of entrants and the number of entries of each entrant (up to a maximum of 5).

5.3 The Grand Prize (see sections 6.2 and 6.5 for details) will be drawn first to allow all entrants a chance to win the Grand Prize.

Prize Details

6.1 Each winner will receive a prize of 1x Combat Patrol / Spearhead box of their choice and 1x JoyToy figurine selected at random. The approximate retail value of the total prize pool is £12,500/$15,750 USD/$24,000 AUS/€14,500. This value excludes delivery and sales tax, where applicable. 

6.2 Grand Prize: One (1) of the 50 winners, randomly selected, will also receive a VIP trip to Warhammer World (see below for details). The approximate value of the Grand Prize is £5000/$6300 USD/$9600 AUD/€5800.

6.3 Prizes are not transferable or negotiable and no cash alternatives will be offered. Prizes cannot be returned or exchanged unless faulty.

6.4 Entrants are responsible for any applicable taxes and compliance with tax laws in the area of receipt the prize.

6.5 One of the prizes is a VIP trip to Warhammer World (Willow Road, Nottingham, England, NG7 2WS). The trip will be on a date of your choice, during Warhammer World’s normal business opening hours. Prize includes, for the winner and +1 person, entry to Warhammer World and the Exhibition Centre, accommodation in a standard room, reasonable travel expenses, including flights if necessary (standard or economy class) and a reasonable meal allowance set by GW to cover any meals on the trip which are not otherwise provided. Expenses outside those expressly set out above are not covered by GW. GW may offer to cover further expenses in its sole discretion. Winners outside the UK must have a valid passport and be eligible for international travel at the time of the trip.

6.6 One of the prizes is a choice of either a Warhammer: 40,000 Combat Patrol box set or a Warhammer: Age of Sigmar Spearhead box set.

6.6.1 If the winner’s choice of box set is not available at the time of selection, they may either wait until it is in stock or choose an alternative Combat Patrol or Spearhead box set. 

6.7 One of the prizes is a randomly chosen Warhammer Joytoy figurine. These are chosen at random from the range specified in clauses 6.8.1 to 6.8.20 and are subject to availability.

6.9 Prize list may vary due to circumstances outside our control. If any change is made we will seek to replace a prize with another of similar type and equal value.

Notification

7.1 The winners will be contacted in writing within seven (7) days of their name being drawn. 

7.2 Winners will be contacted by email via the email address used to set up their newsletter subscription.

7.3 Winners must claim their prize by responding to GW’s email and must provide their delivery address. Prizes will be dispatched via GW’s standard shipping processes once within one (1) month of being claimed. There is no shipping charge for the winners. If any prize has not been claimed by the end of 31st January 2025 (UK time), then a redraw will be held for the remaining prize(s).

Redraw Process

8.1 A redraw, if applicable, will take place at Games Workshop, Willow Road, Nottingham NG7 2WS at 10 a.m. (UK time) on 6th February 2025. The redraw will be made by computerised random selection.

8.2 The winner(s) of the redraw will be notified as stipulated under clauses 7.1 and 7.2. The winner(s) of the redraw must claim their prize before the end of 28th February 2025 (UK time). If any remaining prizes have not been claimed by this date, then the opportunity to win these prizes will be lost and the prize draw will be finished.

Publication

9.1 Entrants agree that GW can use their name and place of residence (in the format of last name, first initial and postcode e.g. Bloggs, J from NG7 2WS) for advertising and promotional purposes and for the purposes of fulfilling legal obligations. If you do not wish your name and/or place of residence to be published or made available, or you wish to reduce the amount of information published or made available, please inform GW at the time you are notified you are a winner. Please note some local authorities require that we disclose a list of the winners to them as a legal requirement for running this prize draw.

9.2 Details of the winners will be published on https://www.warhammer-community.com within thirty (30) days of being claimed.

9.3 Clauses 9.1 and 9.2 will not apply to entrants from Germany. Specific consent will be sought from entrants from Germany to display this information, and the information will only be displayed publicly where the express consent has been provided by the Entrant. When you submit your entry, you can choose to provide your express consent for GW to publish your information in line with clause 9.1. 

General

10.1 GW reserves the right to vary any of these Terms and Conditions without notice, to the extent permissible by applicable laws. In such event GW will make reasonable efforts to communicate any change with entrants.

10.2 These rules are governed by the laws of England and any dispute relating to the promotion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Entry indicates acceptance of the rules as final and legally binding.

10.3 This prize draw is subject to applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

10.4 If any provision or part-provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, but that shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of this agreement.

10.5 If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation.

Social Media Platforms

11.1 In accordance with requirements of third party social media platforms, the entrants agree to fully release and hold harmless from liability the third party social media platform operators (including but not limited to META (Facebook), X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram) in relation to this GW promotion.

11.2 Promotions on social media are subject to the social media site’s rules. If an entrant breaks any applicable rules set by social media sites then that entrant’s entry into the Promotion will be void.

11.3 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta or any other social media platform provider.

Data Protection

12.1 Any personal data provided to us in connection with this competition will be held and processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice. We may also use that data for administration of, and communication in connection with, this competition. By submitting your personal information in connection with this competition you acknowledge the processing of your personal data as set out above and you confirm that the information is accurate and complete.

13.1 No Purchase of any kind is necessary to enter or win this prize draw. You have not yet won. Purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
