How to stop a rug slipping on laminate flooring

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction with this please
I have a long rug in the hall that keeps slipping around. I was under the impression that you could buy some kind of rubber tape to tape to the bottom of the rug to stop the rug from slipping around.
I've had a look on the net and can't find it anywhere, not even on ebay!
Is this the best stuff to buy since I dont want the mat permanently fixed to the floor or is there something better, and can anyone tell me where to buy it from please!

Try the non-slip mats you can buy for car dashboards or car boot. You can buy it by the roll (used to be able to) in wilkinson quite cheaply.0

can buy non-slip may, it's very thin stuff that goes under the rug.
Carpet Right do custom lengths cut from a roll.0 -
I normally use double sided tape just incase there's a gust of wind:rotfl:0

hook and loop tape.(velcro)
Screwfix sell it0 -
Try "Grip-a-rug" from Lakeland. Haven't used it myself but have seen it in a catalog.

I have the 'grip-a'rug' tape it is good but does not last long - it is a tape which you stick top and bottom of the rug and it sticks it to the floor. You can unpeel and restick to wash the floor but only a couple of times then you need to replace it. Has not marked my old quarry tiles and leaves no sticky residue. One reel probably lasts me a year. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Ikea do a great anti slip underlay, I think it's called Stopp. Our rug doesn't move at all - even with the kids using their wii on it....(wiiing on it?!!!!). It comes in various pack sizes, cuts easily to size, but check you get the one for rugs on laminate.0

if you've a Poundland near you, they sell rolls of non-slip matting, you can cut it to size for whatever you want to use it for
I've used it on trays to stop plates full of food sliding about & for mats on slippy floors, works a treat0 -

This is the stuff, http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50093539 we use it to and it seems to do the trick without you having to actually stick anything to your rug or floor0 -
I use the nonslip matting from poundland - it works a treat and my rugs don't skid along my laminate floor now (unless I want them too...lol).0
