Interesting side note: USS (private scheme) was in the public sector transfer club at one time.
HE has always existed in a weird place between public and private sectors. I don't know if there were other private schemes in the club, but there are definitely to this day private employers in the public sector schemes.
So historically it's possible for people to have had club transfers from both private employers and private schemes. But it's an edge case I would guess.0 -
Historically basically all university staff schemes + some TU staff schemes + some nationally organised charities were in the Club. And locally organised charities with some sort of council funding or subsidy (e.g. Citizens Advice) would not be Club members only because they didn't have their own scheme, and joined the LGPS as admission bodies instead...Universidad said:Lemon_dr1zzle said:It’s only club terms if it came from a public sector scheme.
