    Get yourself some cheap weighing scales and use the Royal Mail website to work out postage costs using the weight and size of parcel. I would suggest bubble wrap and brown paper (with or without a box depending on item) for larger parcels. I usually add about £1 to postage costs if I have to supply bubble wrap and paper or padded envelopes. But less if its just something small and light.
