Air purifier for dog

Unfortunately my dog suffers from gastric reflux which I've not been able to solve, although I'm still preserving with treatments with help from my vet. Unfortunately this creates an acrid gastric smell when he's in the same room I was wondering if an air purifier with a carbon filter would help? My guess is that the effectiveness and cost of these are mainly down to the cost and lifetime of replacement carbon cartridges. Has anyone any recommendations for filters with replacement cartridges which don't cost the earth?

I don't know much about air fresheners or the problem with the dogs gastric juices - but many years ago when my dog developed appauling breath there used to be a range of herbal products on the market which I tried.Garlic or charcoal or something that's found in grass. They helped, didin't remove entirely but definitely better.

Unfortunately it's almost a continuous thing due to atopic dermatitis, although his licking of every bit of grass and vegetation can't help. I try to keep him away from the ivy which is everywhere..0 -
I don't know Peter. Sure if pooch will eat it. I seem to remember mine wasn't keen so I got dog biscuits the size of a 50p but charcoal and fed them as 'treats'. He never caught on to that oneYes the grass whatever is in it is the go to for gastric trouble is its coarse and make them throw up or does things to the other endI did have a look for you but the original tablets have been commercially usurped ditto the lovely guy who started the herbal business. But If I come across it I'll post/message.Apart from food - for atopic dermatitis have you looked at bedding conditioner, do you use anything to freshen the carpets or bedding? There was a thing back in the day when Shake and Vac came out that pets were all going itch crazy and it took a long while for word to spread.

The overpowering smell is from his mouth, particularly when he licks his lips. The bedding or carpets are largely odourless despite him licking and salivating over them. His teeth and gums are fine and his blood results are OK, I think this has drifted so it's on the wrong board!0
