Scottish Power prepayment

Looking for advice. I recently moved from a flat where SP was the supplier on a prepayment meter. They have sent me a final bill for nearly £30 despite the fact that I was in credit and have never used emergency credit or owed them a single penny. When I questioned them they resorted to a set of reasons non of which apply. They continue to insist I owe them money and are making threats of legal action etc to recover the debt. Could anyone advise what my options are?
