Waiting for HMRC code

Hi all

Thanks to the amazing advice on here,we submitted the IHT400 and Associate schedules etc two weeks ago. We are below the 500k IHT threshold.

Am I right in thinking we now await a code which should be emailed in order to allow us to apply for probate?

Assuming this is correct, does anyone know how long this is currently taking to process?

Hi All,
I submitted the IHT forms with relevant documents which were delivered on 22nd October by special delivery.

The SD was signed for by EDM. I understand this is an agent of HMRC tasked with scanning documents.

I phoned HMRC after 23 working days only to find out that they have nothing on their system.
Does anyone know how long EDM normally take to scan documents ?

I do hope I don’t have to re-send everything again.
