British Gas Freecharge for EV tariff

This was not offered to me as both a British Gas and Hive customer.
Their terms and conditions state
To qualify for FreeCharge you must "install a Hive-enabled Alfen Eve Single S-Line or EO Mini Pro 3 that has been ordered from the Hive website or one of Hive’s retail partners, and activate the FreeCharge mode within the Hive app, on or after Thursday 19th October 2023".
I could not activate FreeCharge mode on 21st October, the date I first charged my EV as it was not an option in the Hive App.
Anybody had the same dreadful experience through Hive and British Gas refusing to honour FreeCharge?
