Open banking apps

Hello all
i was wondering what apps people are using for monitoring their bank accounts via open banking. I’ve moved back to spreadsheets since Yolt closed a few years ago. I’ve since tried Emma, but never really got my head around it.

What do you use?
thanks in advance

I use Banktivity on a Mac/iPad, tried connections via SaltEdge but went back to manual updating/monitoring.1

I still use an ancient piece of personal finance software because none of the Open Banking ones covers all the companies I have accounts with. When I experimented with the likes of Yolt, I was less than impressed with the refresh time. I could update things much faster manually. I was also not happy with the user interfaces - a lot of the glitzy graphics are a huge waste of screen acreage, when a very simple tabular presentation would completely suffice for me.
Whilst several apps now support many more companies, I don't see myself use one of those apps anytime soon. They still don't cover investments, they still have bloated user interfaces and they still take an inordinate amount of tiime to refresh data if you have dozens of accounts. The apps are probably quite helpful if you only have a handful of accounts and don't plan to increase your number and types of accounts. I would in any case prefer a standalone app to the aggregation offered by most major current account providers as you could be without your data and history if something goes wrong with a given bank, or if you want to change bank.

Thanks @friolento & @TadleyBaggie. Looks like I’ll keep the spreadsheet running for now0

I switched from Emma to Moneyhub, there was a long trial period and it suits me better. I find it good for monitoring bank accounts and credit cards etc in one place but tbh I download transactions from Moneyhub to a spreadsheet to do any planning.1

I use MoneyHub and very happy with it. It covers everything I use, including investments.

Last time I checked they didn't support iWeb, NS&I, Moneyfarm, Raisin, and a host of Building Societies. Admittedly, I haven't checked for a few months as it's not very productive for me to find that they still don't cover all my accounts. In most cases, the reason for the lack of support is that the financial institution doesn't provide an API, so Moneyhub can't do anything about it.

I use my own spreadsheet and the Snoop app to monitor all accounts in one place.1

I don’t bother with open banking as it’s too slow.1

Thanks all. Money hub looks promising1

I have tried various Apps and i need an App to budget my money and be flexible with manual inputs and auto from the banks. YNAB “you need a budget” works best for me and is very easy to use once you set it up. It does cost to use it, but worthwhile in my opinion. You can get a free trial i think to use it.0
