Hi all, very specific question I'm not sure if anyone has answer-
The metal bar that moves the drivers seat backwards and forwards on my car fell off. It's not snapped, just come undone and fell off.
It's a 2002 Corsa sxi
For the life of me I can't find any bolts on the floor or any other bits. I can't work out where on earth it attaches to either. On the other front seat it looks like it's held on by a bracket, but I can't see any brackets on drivers seat.
If anyone else happens to have the same model of car could I see pictures of how the adjustor is attached? I've googled it but I can't find any info or pictures anywhere...
If anyone knows how it goes on would be a wonderful help.
This is the part which fell off, for reference

Are there any VX Corsa Facebook groups?
I use the VW and BMW ones for my Golf and M2 respectively. Theres usually a wealth of knowledge in them.

that said, seats are usually held in on four bolts and an airbag connector.motorguy said:Are there any VX Corsa Facebook groups?

If you keep the key out of the car and away from the car entirely, you should be able to take the seat out of the car, which should show you what bolts where. You're likely going to have to do that anyway to bolt it back on. Should only take 10 minutes to do.0

It's fell out because the fixings have come adrift.
It's held on pins to the seat base and what stops it slipping off are small Starlock/Quicklock washers.
 Push-On Fasteners - Springmasters
You will probably find these on the floor under your seat, where they fell off unless you have vacuumed under there lately.
There should be four, two each side and it should all go back together pretty easily with the seat out, though new Starlocks should stop is falling off again.

Aah! Thank you that's it! I found one of them under one of the mats but thought it was just a random piece of metal..It's held on pins to the seat base and what stops it slipping off are small Starlock/Quicklock washers
Will get some more of those thank you.
Look like very flimsy fastenings, no wonder it fell off!0

I will have a look! I never use faceache but it'll probably be a better place to ask all my stupid questions. Cheersmotorguy said:Are there any VX Corsa Facebook groups?

I've a Golf TDI and the FB groups have been invaluable.
 Theres probably user forums too?
That said, i think if you'd the seat out you'd be able to see an awful lot more. I'm sure theres a you tube video on doing it.1
