Had an issue on Facebook market place where someone wanted to pay in advance for an item I’m selling.
I gave her my name, sortcode. Account number. In addition she has my full address as she was about to collect the item.
I have contacted my bank and they said about potentially they could set up a direct debit now and have blocked this avenue.
Is there anything other harm?
Thanks

Must admit I've always been selling relatively low value things (well under £500) so have asked for cash. When people start insisting on doing things by bank transfer and haggling about the price I generally know the next step is they will say they will send a courier to collect. And if they did set a direct debit up you would ring the bank and tell them to cancel it and return any funds that had been taken.
