Hi all i have been made redundant on Friday as my employer has filed for administration we have got to go in tomorrow for information packs from the administrators. I have been there 7 years so will obviously get 7 weeks pay as i am 37. I am just wondering will we all get notice pay as well? Never been in this position before so unsure how it works. Thanks

This is worth a read: https://www.gov.uk/your-rights-if-your-employer-is-insolvent
Looking at the link it seems that you are entitled to notice pay. There is a cap if it is the government giving you a redundancy payment as opposed to your employer. I assume your employer has no money to pay redundancy.0 -
depending on your job you may want to get access to your work computer to download all your payslips etc or any other information that will be useful going forward. Otherwise see if their HR can assist. Handy to have any pay history, as well as job descriptions as all this info fades so quickly. Get names and phone numbers of work colleagues including managers if they are willing. And ask for a generic reference letter while you're at it.
Best of luck with your job search, hopefully you'll be back work very soon.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
