Good morning, it's the usual dampish start here.
No plans for today, unless we go to Beamish Museum - we were going to go yesterday but it started drizzling so we didn't go.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day, take care folks.

Good morning everyone and 'thank you' for starting us off Scarlet.
It's very 'grey/dull' here atm, fingers crossed it perks up later today.
Hope everyone has a good day. xx11 -
Thanks Scarlet for the start.Beamish is wonderful -hope you enjoy your day.Had a great 7-8 mile stomp over the Shropshire Hills yesterday - it was still grey and misty but had a drier feel though very wet and muddy underfoot. Bdog decided to have a swim in the lake too - two buckets of water to get him clean!
Back to wet and grey today - we still seem to be promised sunshine tomorrow.Have as small piece of carpet to fit around a load of pipes and weird angles in the airing cupboard today plus resize and fix the shelves following the fitting of the new tank 3 months ago - too many other things happened in between so it’ll be good to get it done.AA12 -
Morning all, thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. Today is very grey, misty and rainy. My shopping trip yesterday was fairly quick, I knew what I wanted and didn't get swayed away from it. 😀 The postie brought me the delicious vegan chocolate and hot powder from a small business in Glasgow which are presents for my lovely 'zen' hairdresser and the chap up the hill's wife. The business does the whole process from beans. I seem to be buying edible gifts this year, I don't have many to give to anymore and I like to keep it local.Last night I watched the Festival of Rememberance. It's always a weird time for me as I have family on both sides of war. One 'removed' second cousin survived the sinking of the Bismark and one uncle died in the battle for Monte Cassino and has a war grave nearby there. Lest we forget.Reading about the price of animal paracetamol shocked me, can it be so different? My long gone and very much loved cat only ever needed vaccinations so we never faced big bills.Today I have a pile of clean washing to fold and put away (no ironing allowed) I was again hoping to go for a walk, I missing doing long walks so much, so fingers crossed for the rain to stop.Hugs to poorlies.11

Good morning all, and thanks for starting us Scarlet. Usual grey start but we are promised sun tomorrow.
I also watched the Festival of Remembrance last night, it always brings a tear to my eye, such bravery.
Today I'm going to roast the turkey drumstick I got from Morries. I say turkey but I think it really came from an albatross, its enormous, enough for dinner today and a stew tomorrow. Really good value as it came with the thigh as well, which is still in the freezer.
Apart from dog walking as usual that's it for today, slobby Sunday. Have a good day whatever you're doing x11 -
Morning allFeels a bit colder this morning but not so much mist.Dermatologist has given me this aerosol medication to put on my scalp overnight and I have to wash it out in the morning, every morning for 2 weeks or so. Glad I'm not at work any more as it's a bit of a faff but if it works I'd be very grateful.A quiet day here again, nothing much going on. Shopping delivery due soon so will await thatHave a good day all x10

Morning all, thanks Scarlet. Same weather but with added drizzle for interest. We had a lovely family get- together yesterday for youngest DN 21st. Nice place but 18 of us inc. 5 children all sat along 1 long table didn't allow much interaction if you were sat at one end, and there wasn't anywhere you could sit afterwards with a coffee or drink, but nice to see everyone. I seem to have lost my poppy brooch too, which was on my jacket lapelNot sure what we're up to today, probably a lazy Sunday after a hectic couple of days
I have a couple of lamb shanks for later, and a pizza for DS, and I can carry on with my cardmaking.
Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9 -
Morning all. Dull here again.
I watched the British Legion RAH thing last night and will probably watch the service at The Cenotaph this morning.
After that I plan to make some sort of cake, maybe a golden syrup loaf cake, which I haven't made before, or maybe a few biscuits. I'm waiting to hear if I'm required for childcare tomorrow afternoon and wouldn't want to go empty handed!
I might make some sort of start on Christmas cards/lists/emails so I know where I am with things. I really can't remember if we've already posted cards to Australia so they might get two or none!
Tonight I'm giving someone a lift to a music session so we'll have an early Sunday dinner.
Happy Sunday everyone.

Morning all
Bit of a grey day here again and quite cold, I have got the bedding in the wm but I think we will have to use the TD to get it dry today, OH is at the boot sale and dd stayed over with her young man so nice and peaceful here. DD and her young man went to see the Mars exhibit last night it looked even more stunning at night.
Roast pork for dinner this evening with all the trimmings I’m hoping there is enough left for tomorrow as well, I will go and do the veg in a while OH will do the potatoes as I hate doing them 😬
Dogs to be walked later and a slothful afternoon with the log burner and a film.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
We had a blast of sunshine!!! Well for about 5 minutes,oh but the joy!!
Spent a good hour this morning from 8 litter picking the route from church to our War memorial .Filled a massive bag of assorted carp.
Didn't attend church this year for Remembrance Day service - just a bit too soon, but toddled up to the memorial for the silence and wreath laying. Amazing how many were there - a rough count put it at over 500 of all ages. The local Air Cadets paraded in force and 'accompanied' the marchers with their drums. They need to slowdown a bit for next year lol as quite a few were struggling to keep up. We even had a Police presence who partially succeeded in stopping the traffic at the critical point. Unfortunately our Memorial is on a busy junction with quite fast moving traffic - it's probably the most exposed site ( as a memorial) in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Bit of a bunfight at the local community centre afterwards - it was heaving! Strange going on my own too.
Hugs and spoons as always
