VPN abroad for TV

I'm in SE Asia for 5 months. I find that the VPN works with every app apart from Channel 4.

I found channel 4 didn't work with an ad blocker does your vpn have an ad blocker built in? Which vpn company is it?

I used surfshark from Germany to watch Channel 4 - usually fine but for the last couple of weeks on android and IOS it didn't work but it did on windows. A few days ago it started to work again on them - guess it was an update0
