Probably daft cash isa question

No mention in T&C's about an isa being split between two financial years. No worries, I've got until April to find out and, as per T&C's, if I try to put in more than allowed the money would be returned.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

As others have stated, ISA providers are entitled to restrict how much you can pay in and when you can pay it in, just like any other savings account. The difference with ISAs is that providers cannot prevent you withdrawing money as and when you like, although they are allowed to impose a withdrawal penalty. Providers have to tell you about any restrictions in the T&C.Shakin_Steve said:
Under what circumstances would the above not be allowed? As I see it, it's £20,000 per financial year.masonic said:It depends on what the T&Cs say about paying money in.
