100% scam, Obviously written by someone with little knowledge of the English legal system.
Rossendale's became Marston's in 2022.
Easy way to tell a scam email is to check the email it originated from, if you click on the email address it was sent from it will likely be from some obscure .com address you will not of heard of, whilst genuine emails will come from a Marston`s no reply account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Glad I came across this on a Google search. I received the exact same email last month and again yesterday. Always a red flag when there’s no reference number, the company the debt is with or the amount. I replied and it took 12 days to reply. I basically said if they don’t reply with the amount and nature of the debt I would be going to the police. They basically told me I have to provide them with the reference number. I feel sorry for elderly people that would fall for this0

The problem with replying to these E Mails is they now know you will reply and they could easily pass your E Mail on to other scammers so watch out for other scams and don't reply to any of them.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0

Does anyone have an update with this ?As I had recieved this the other day but they followed up with a collection date ? So I’m a little concerned this is legit.I have checked with Marstons as they are under their name now and have told me they think it is a scam and no debt has been obtained but I just wanted to see if anyone had an outcome with this or ?Thank you0

Its a scam. No one has ever come back and had problems so there are basically no updates.
There are so many things wrong with these scam letters that its obviously not genuine to a debt adviser and Marstons have told you the same.0 -

The email is littered with errors, incorrect wording, spelling mistakes, company names that no longer exist, its quite noticeable to anyone familiar with such things, its about as far from legit as its possible to be.
They are basically threatening enforcement action for a debt that has not yet been to court, something that would be impossible, as enforcement can only take place once a CCJ has been granted and you fail to make good on the payments.
The whole thing, is 100% scam, so the update is, its still a scam, if you receive such an email, simply delete it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
