Just that - which free , good, firewalls are there apart from ZoneAlarm?

Kerio Personal Firewall. It's lighter than Zone Alarm and easy to use (has an advanced and simple mode of running).

I've always used it on machines within my house and recommend it to my friends.

Sygate and Tiny personal firewalls are both good. I use ZoneAlarm myself though.

I use Sygate, personal edition free. Works well and has some good reviews.

I have sinced moved away from Sygate after a number of years use. I now use Kerio.
