New Broadband deal

Options
Took out the Shell deal last year which ended up with Talktalk takeover. So tasked with a new deal. I don't want virgin so it's Pop or or trying to barter with talktalk. Pop do a delivery £19.90. Talktalk are offering to price match with a cashback style voucher. The thing is the April price increases. If I take out a 18 or 24m contract I am stuck with in contract price increases. TT say they can do a fixed price so no price increases. Just wish you could have this without hidden hikes. The shell deal had no increases when TT took it over so is it too much to ask.

    What hidden hikes?
It's all there when you sign up for it.  CPI+3.9% or £3 a month (typically).

Anyway Pop Telecom is a TalkTalk reseller so you'd be effectively going from one TalkTalk package in set of clothes to TalkTalk in another set of clothes.

Talktalk told me that they could give me a fixed price with no increases for £27 month.

Yes but is that a better deal?  What's your price for the normal monthly one with the auto-rise?

If you can have two years at £27 a month fixed, but if (for argument's sake) you can get it at £23 currently a month with rise, then assuming you buy today:

    £27 for 24 months is £648.

Assuming £23 a month and then £3 per month extra from April, then five months at £23 is £115.  12 months  from April at £26 = £312, seven months at £29 = £203.  Total pay out = £630, or an average of £26.25 a month over the whole period.  You'd only pay more than £27 in the final seven months or so.
