Well, after around 72hrs on 6hrs sleep, three entire shifts at the new job on such little sleep, I was surprised to wake up this morning feeling relatively refreshed. I guess it's going to catch up with me over the next several days, we'll see. Still feeling enthusiastic and positive about the general plan. I'm "famous" in the family for having "fads" and interests that come and go over the course of weeks to months, but that's what's different with this, this time round. I've had this concern about my credit, finances, future over the last 12ish months and it hasn't actually gone. Maybe this is the time where I actually progress in life. Alcohol, gambling and all sorts of other things have almost stunted my development - I feel 10yrs behind everyone else.

I've mentioned this to her now, she's going to look into it and decide if it is for her. To be perfectly honest, it sounds interesting to me as well, so I'm going to have a look and all! We don't really have "stuff" and clothes laying around that we could sell, so not really an option. In fact, in order to raise money for our wedding, we had a pretty good clear out and garage sale a few months back.

My wife isn't really interested in doing surveys, but a never say never sort of thing. Me, I'm intrigued so I've got this down as something to explore at the weekend. It's the start of a new work week, so time for me to rake in some overtime and concentrate on that - one thing at a time
I would like to put a signature but can't for some reason, says I don't have permission. I think what I'll do in lieu of that for the time being is to post a weekly update on my balances. They may change, they may not, but however small I'd like to see it and reflect. I'll see if I can come up with a more-pleasing-on-the-eye format but this'll do for now.

With respect, most of us aren’t into doing surveys but the extra £10/20 a week makes a huge differenceSealed pot challenge 822

This week hasn't been the best, nor has it been the worst. I managed some more overtime to add towards payday, and a couple of NSDs. I brought lunches to work which were left overs from dinner the night before.
Not really had any money to put towards debts so the balances remain identical to last week. I have, however, reluctantly decided to part with some of my assets, and am hoping to raise some money from it's sale to put a good chunk towards debts. I'm not sure if it's best to do Loan 1 or CC1 - they both work the same where overpaying reduces overall term and interest paid. I'm leaning towards CC1.

I’d pay off Vanquis first as extremely high interest and lower amount owing than loan
Then you can take that payment and start attacking lendableMFW 2025 #50: £1139.75/£600007/03/25: Mortgage: £67,000.00

Indeed, sounds good. After my post yesterday I realised I had a few spare quid in my account, so paid a small token £5 towards Loan 1 and £2.50 between the two credit cards. Psychologically it helps to see even the smallest dents being put into my balances.
It's a very tricky one at the moment. Absolutely knocked us for 6 with me being out of work and without pay for essentially 6 weeks... 😥. Really need the end of the month to get a shifty on. It's going to be very hard to pull this off on a single wage.

So I had a bit more of a look into taking surveys, signed up just to see what it was all about and if it was something I might be able to do. I've got to say, for really minimal time and effort I've actually started to build a balance. Surely it's not as simple as this? There's a non negligible amount of money in survey account that can be withdrawn 🤔 very interesting!Debt @ LBM 01/11/24 - £14,161.59Debt current - £10,845.80
