Self Assessment Registration

I completed the self assessment registration at the end of September but have heard nothing from them. It had said I’d get a letter with a number in 15 days. I’ve allowed extra time, expecting it to appear. It hasn’t. There is nothing I can see in my online account that refers to self assessment - ie. Nothing that wasn’t there before. I can also see no obvious way of contacting them about this from within my account.
Has anyone else registered and not heard anything? Where is the contact information for this? Thanks.

Have you tried to chat online via https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/hm-revenue-customs/contact/self-assessment ?
Mrs Notepad had to register for the first time this year and she had to use it a few times - she would normally do it first thing in the morning and just kept typing in 'human advisor please' until she got through to a real person.0 -
One thing to remember is that although you will always get 3 months to complete the return, so for example a return issued today won't have to be filed until 9 February (or even a few days later) any tax owed should still be paid hy 31 January to avoid being charged interest.
Especially now HMRC have been allowed to charge higher late payment interest rates (albeit only from April next year).
Increasing the interest rate on unpaid tax from April 2025Measure descriptionThe government will increase the late payment interest rate charged by HMRC on unpaid tax liabilities by 1.5 percentage points to Bank Rate plus 4 percentage points. This measure will be effective from 6 April 2025.0 -

Update in case it helps anyone else.
I used the chat function (bot hopeless) but got through to one human then another. They did have my registration and because their timescale for dealing with it had been exceeded she processed it while on chat. So hopefully it will all work going forward….🤞
All done in about 40mins including wait time between 1.20 and 2pm0
