Yep but it doesn't matter does it?  You know this from reading the NEWBIES thread.

I presume you've read the latest POPLA Annual Report to see this PPC's % win/lose rate? Just out of interest. No link needed.

Well I don't know, as I can't seem to find a template letter for a POFA case?

I have  not read the report and if I'm honest, don't really intend to.

It's actually a pretty useful report. I learned something from it (one of their examples about how they sussed what had gone wrong with an ANPR system where the drivers had clicked on their car images but still got PCNs).  Very interesting.

There are no POPLA templates as such and I wouldn't really bother with it. Up to you.  If you want to try, use the wording linked in the third post of the NEWBIES thread about signs and landowner authority.  You'd need damning signage photos too.

I rarely bother with POPLA for relatives, in POFA cases. Too much work for no likely reward. My friends & family just ignore the threatograms.  Court is easier than POPLA, and offers almost certain success.

Do you intend to read POPLA's reviews? Useful to read how others found the POPLA process and see POPLA's replies to the reviewers.
95% of the 1,229 reviews are sadly one star.

Crikey, I wasn't really expecting to go to court

What would I plead at court? Not to mention the cost of it all.

I've read a few of them and was in the process of putting an appeal together with the evidence I have, however was getting  confused over the POFA side of things.

Now I've read and understand a bit more, I'm a bit concerned, as I don't know whether to appeal or go through the worry of further letters and potential court.😬

Forget court for now.unlikely with this outfit
People are just over thinking things I've noticed on here at the moment
People don't have time to discuss a situation which may never happen

Nobody said you'd be GOING to court!  Nobody mentioned a court hearing.

If you think there's costs in defending a small claim to see it off, you are also wrong. I have no idea why people think that.

I was merely saying how dead easy a court defence is, and how successful compared to POPLA.  Nobody I help bothers with POPLA or the IAS.

  • Thanks for reply.

I'm going to send in a Popla appeal with view it's probably not going to come to anything and go from there.
