Rejecting Leased Car
I have leased a Kia EV6 through my business on a 4 year lease. I am one year in, and the car has been in for repair for 4 months. I have just been told today that it needs to go back to the factory (Derbyshire apparently, not Korea, luckily), but there will be a further estimated 4-month wait for the repair to be completed so that I will be without my car for 8 months. I have a courtesy car from Kia, but it is a bottom-of-the-range car, so not a replacement, and I am still paying the full monthly lease cost for a car with all the bells and whistles. The lease is from Lex Autolease who are impossible to deal with. I have now made a second complaint to them, asking for a replacement car or to reject the car and cancel the agreement. The next stop is the BVRLA, but I do not have high hopes for them as they are funded by the leasing companies. Has anyone had any experience of rejecting a lease car, or Lex Autolease? Annoyingly as it is leased through my company I seem to have no consumer rights!

As you say, because this is a business-to-business lease, consumer rights do not apply.

I would go through your company's HR department. It's not right that you are having large deductions from your salary and only being provided with a basic car for 8 months.
