Very.UK - online issues with payments

Recently purchased a TV with monthly payments for Insurance as they dont operate a direct debit scheme.
Tried several ways/methods to make a payment before the expiry date for .
payment.
The website refuses to move onto the payment page on my account. Because of that, the policy is suspended till payment,
Now have to wait 5/7 days for a call back, in the meantime the TV is not covered.
Sent an email to their queries email address from the email sent to me. That was returned as their inbox was full.
Cant find any email address to contact 'Customer Services' etc to send a image of the error page when trying to make a payment.
Maybe the first and last of using Very (Littlewoods) in future.

Many people would say you’ve inadvertently made a very good MSE decision by not taking on this insurance. It’s highly profitable for Very - and not so much for you.0

Thanks,
Any suggestions of a insurance co. for the TV covering repairs and accidental damage ?0 -
Self-insure? Home insurance will often cover accidental damage, and consumer rights and/or warranties will often cover repairs - personally I can't recall the last time I had a TV repaired, do you have any history of this?0

I would usually buy a TV from Richer Sounds (or John Lewis although they are not as good as they were) who offer a 6 year guarantee and have an excellent reputation for after sales service and for honouring guarantees. That is clearly too late for you now but useful to know for next time.
If you need to pay by monthly payments then Richer Sounds do that via Creation at usually no cost to you. Subject to you passing Creation's credit checks of course.
I also have accidental damage insurance on my home insurance that covers TVs etc.
I bet that the cost of my accidental damage insurance for everything is less than Very are charging you for one TV.
Check your home insurance to see how much they would charge for accidental damage insurance, You may find it already does cover you for accidental damage.
Edit: I was going to add self insure but eskbanker and born_again has beaten me to that above and below.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -

MSE way.
Rather than paying a 3rd party in case. Put a amount away each month, then if nothing happens you have funds for a new TV.
You have your consumer rights & a warranty on a new TV covering most issue, just not accidental damage.Life in the slow lane0 -
Thanks,
True as said when was the last time a tv was repaired.
My old TV was purchased in 2006 with no repairs.
As said the household ins would cover it and it has a manufacturer's warranty.0 -
Our tv packed in one month before the 5 year JL guarantee ran out. They replaced it with another of our choice and refunded the balance between the cost of the original and the cost of the new one- prices had reduced a lot in the 5 years since we bought.
Last month my son's 3 year old Samsung tv developed a known fault. JL replaced it with another make of TV with no problems.0
