Please HELP! PENALTY NOTICE APCOA - HAVE READ NEWBIE FORUM!!

Hey everyone, I have read multiple threads including the newbie one and I know it’s probably super irritating another post being made but I just need some quick clarification on if I can still get out of this or if I’ve put my foot in it!

Got a penalty notice for use of a private car park without making valid payment, on the 15/10/24 (post) I appealed straight away, I was at the car park station for 3 days, explaining that I bought 2 day ticket which assumed lasts for 24 hours as I got there really late one evening at around 10pm, so I thought the first ticket would have lasted me till 10pm the next day and so on, but turns out they only last till 3AM
so I got a ticket!

They declined my appeal, started searching up about it and now realised I should have read this forum first!!

Is anything I can do? I get confused quite easily so the newbie forum just threw me completely but most other forums gave me the idea I should not of even stated I was the one buying the tickets or driving.

Thanks in advance - sorry for another post about this!!

You definitely should not have revealed who was driving, or mentioned anything about the incident, less is more

The penalty notice times out after 6 months, so you drag it out as long as possible past the 6 months deadline

If you have a Popla code, appeal as late as possible, around day 31 following the rejection date

    Its that simple

Just ignore it. APCOA cannot issue a real Penalty Notice as they have no authority to do so. It is fake.

APCOA won't do anything with regards to litigation as they know they don't have a leg to stand on as they cannot prosecute a Penalty Notice (if it were real) in the civil court and they know that the can't take out a private criminal prosecution in the magistrates court because their scam would be exposed and there's no money it it for them.

They rely on the ignorance of the vast majority of recipients of these fake PNs  to pay them out of fear because of the unlawful use of the wording in it. They have never prosecuted anyone for one of their fake PNs and you won't be the first.

    Seconded. Ignore APCOA.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
