A lot of cars of that era were imported from Ireland.

The "normal" rear number plate, etc suggest its a European import.  I'd say 90% chance its Ireland.  From memory, Malta was another source of RHD imports at one point, but most were Irish.
Seem to remember a loophole for bringing non compliant cars in the UK via Ireland some years back?

I didn't see where it was imported from.  If it's European, it should come with all the right paperwork for European compliance and emissions (and we still use the same rules as the rest of Europe).  If it's from outside Europe, it may not.
    The ad says Japan.

It's badged as a Honda Fit, not Jazz. They're sold as Jazz across Europe but Fit in Japan.

There's no CO2 figure on the DVLA record. If it was Irish, it'd have an EU CoC available, which would enable the official CO2 to be on the V5C.

The aftermarket headunit would get around the Japanese FM frequency and related issues, and the reversing camera looks very aftermarket.

It has a faded and battered blue sticker on the rear window with what appears to be Japanese characters on it, and bracketry for a Japanese-shaped rear plate below the UK one.

The dash doesn't appear to have an integrated rear fog light switch, but does have that aftermarket switch.

I see no reason to think it's not JDM...

Malta is full of JDM cars as that's where most of them come from but the trend is shifting a little in most small RHD markets like this.

India and cars built for the Indian market are RHD vehicles that find there way on to these smaller, RHD markets like Malta, South Africa and some Caribbean islands.

So there's a blend of slightly older JDM cars and newer Japan/Indian built cars from the likes of Suzuki/Maruti Suzuki/Toyota Kirloskar.
All these new cars seem to have a different name depending on the "official" manufacturer and market. Fronx, Taisor,  Brezza, Starlet Cross and so on.

I would second this "Fit" is a JDM car.
European Jazz had the indicator stalk on the left, JDM cars on the right.
