Selling a monitor

Probably a daft question but we want to sell a monitor which is currently being used with our desktop PC as we are having an upgrade. It’s a few years old maybe about 5. I know about wiping phones and laptops etc but do I need to do anything with the monitor before I advertise it? Does it hold any personal info? Thanks.

  • If it’s a standard pc monitor - nothing to worry about.

If it’s a “smart monitor” where you can run things like iPlayer Netflix etc independently of computer - like a TV, then log out of those accounts or find out how to do a factory reset.
  • No it'll be fine

Unless it's a super duper monitor it's unlikely to be worth much money. I've seen some really nice ones in our heart foundation shop for a fiver.
