Universal Credit End of years savings disregard

So I have savings above £16,000 and I migrated over to universal credit a year ago.
My savings were obviously disregarded for the first year. That time is now up, so I assumed either my claim would be closed or my next pay period would show as £0. But my claim is still open and it shows I will get paid again next month.
What should happen at the end of the savings disregard? Has anyone been through this? I have put a note in my journal declaring my savings are still above the threshold and asking what happens now, but have had no reply. I called the helpline and he tried telling me I will get one more payment as it goes from the first UC payday not the date you claimed. I'm almost certain that's wrong as you should only receive 12 pay periods of disregard and I've already had 12. Any advice or others experiences would be great thanks.

There will be a to-do action to ask you to declare current money, savings and investments, so you don't receive a 13th UC payment without declaring this. And when you report savings above £16k the claim will be closed. There are some situations where someone with above £16k may still receive UC such as those providing evidence for a further disregard period which a Decision Maker accepts. But there are limited reasons for disregards being applied.
If you believe you have grounds for disregard, you need to contact UC through your journal. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.1 -
You should update your capital though "Report A Change" >"Money, savings and investments" if you haven't done that already.

As others have said above, but additionally...Have you had a UC award in each of the 12 months? It's actually 12 UC awards, not 12 months, so if there have been any APs where you have had £0 UC entitlement, maybe due to earnings, then the transitional protection is for 12 APs where there is entitlement, not 12 months.3

It's not 12 awards it's 12 assessment periods, even if there is nil award it's still classed as an AP. The Regs don't allow for any more than 12 APs.
EDIT due be being corrected

Thankyou all so much for taking the time to respond to me and apologies it's taken me so long to come back to the thread.
So my claim is definitely due to close then @huckster ? sounds like it will happen just before my 13th payment would have been made. I'm just under £10,000 over the threshold and that money is going on house renovations, however I'm not sure I could ask for a further disregard period as I think they may ask why I hadn't spent that money on renovations in the year previous. So think I will let it come to a close and reassess if/when my savings go back under the £16,000.
I have already updated my capital through report a change @HillStreetBlues but great advice for anyone who finds this thread in the future.
Yes I have had 12 UC awards @NedS so it definitely sounds like my award should stop. And thankyou to @Yamor for the specific reg, will have a read of that now.
Slightly frustrating that nobody ever responds to my messages in my journal and that the advisor on the UC helpline gave incorrect advice. So glad I asked on here to get confirmation. Thanks again.1 -
If your under £16K then your claim will continue, but it will also continue to be subject to the above £6K reduction (£4.35 for every £250 or part of there in) over £6K so at £10K you’ll get £4K of reduction.
Edit - just re read (Sorry) your £10K over the threshold so £26K - ignore the above.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.
